Corvallis Artist at Saint Francis Festival in California

Corvallis tie-dye artist Carl McClellan has announced a California appearance for his business, Mr. Tie Dye. McClellan will be at the Saint Francis Festival in Hayfork, California, from September 26 - October 5. The tie-dye festival is dedicated to products made in the United States, and will have vendors and tie-dye workshops. It is the largest tie-dye festival in the world.

McClellan, owner and proprietor of Mr. Tie Dye, will be presenting a 10,000 square-foot tie-dye labyrinth named "Peace," as well as instructing workshops.

McClellan, who has custom made tie-dye products since 2000, has shown his tie-dye creations all over the area, from the Spendorporium Gallery in Portland, Oregon, to the Scio Music Festival in tiny Linn County.

During the Saint Francis Festival, McClellan will teach workshops, along with other artists, Takefumi Omori and Richard Carbin. The gist of the workshops will include tie-dye tapestries and custom tie-dye clothing, with focus on tie-dye t-shirts. Emphasis will be on tie-dye methods and techniques for making custom t-shirts. A special workshop for quilters, focusing on materials, will also be available.

McClellan, who runs Mr. Tie Dye from his Corvallis home, said that the ten day festival will also have food and music, in addition to the extraordinary art displays.

Additional information can be found on the festival website, at "http://st.francisfestival.com/tickets/," and at Mr. Tie Dye's website, www.mrtiedye.com.

The Saint Francis Festival runs in Hayfork, California, Sept. 26 - Oct. 5, 2014.
